Started in 1995 by a small group of budding paddlers in the Mallaig area, the club has now grown to around 60 members. Although still centred on the west coast fishing village of Mallaig, we have members in Fort William , Inverness and other far-flung corners of the Highlands (and the world!).
Our activities centre on various aspects of paddlesport and include sea kayaking, winter pool sessions, coaching (especially local youngsters), open boating and white water.
We hold social and fund raising events during the year that aim to be fun and bring the joys of paddling to a wider audience.
During the winter, in between dodging cold waves, we have sessions in the Mallaig pool.
Just about anyone can paddle a kayak or canoe, so if you would like to have a go, contact our membership secretary (see About Us page). You don't need to be young and super-fit - our members include the middle aged and retired !
